Saturday Cheltenham Tips

With Cheltenham beating the cold snap, it is a great rest bite for racing fans from the All Weather meetings over the past week. There is a great card and we have compiled a few selections that you may wish to consider when making your bets for the day! Good Luck and enjoy!

12:10 – Last Shadow 8/1 EW.A tough race in which there are two clear worthy favorites in Irish Saint and Rolling Star. However with the mentioned fighting it out we are taking a chance with Jonjo ONeills’ representitive who made a pleasing hurdles bow last time at Doncaster. Was fairly useful on the flat for William Muir and improvement should be expected on only 2nd start in this sphere. This race is obviously a lot tougher but looks a good ew bet. 5th (-£10)

12.40 – Johns Spirit 6/1.Progressing well since sent chasing, and ran a cracker last time from this mark at Sandown with only the improving Katenko getting the better of him. Still an unexposed chaser he didn’t jump completely convincingly last time and with McCoy taking over in the saddle he can take another step forward today. 6th (-£10)

1.15 Our Mick 10/1 EW.Had an excellent season last, finishing with an excellent 3rd at Cheltenham in March. Has not raced since but McCain will likely have selection wound up for this on return.Providing fitness is not a concern looks to have a great chance and a good ew peice. UR (-£10)

1.50 – Sprinter Sacre 1/5 No Bet – Price is far too short from a betting proposition but for racing fans this will be a fantastic opportunity to watch the exciting prospect and can keep chase record intact.Win

2.25 Quartz De Thaix 10/1 EW.Been in superb form this season for Venetia Williams and although this is tougher is worth his place.Fluent jumper and may just thrive in this. Fell (-£10)

3.00 At Fishers Cross 13/2 EW. A very competitive field but we fancy Rebecca Curtis representative to be the value here.Has impressed this season and is deserved opponent here and can take another step forward. Win (+£41)

3.35 Reve De Sivola 5/2.It pains us to go against Oscar Whisky, one of our favourite horses but he is not sure to get this trip (struggled at Cheltenham last year), and we fancy our selection to take advantage. With the trip no concern he looks a good bet after winning a grade 1 in impressive style last time. Win (+£25)

4.10 Quaddick Lake 14/1 EW.Has been very successful for Jeremy Scott.Unseated rider when going okay last time but with senior jockey back on we expect to run well. 3rd (+12.50)

Profit – £38.50
